About The Event

For practitioners who have no knowledge of implant dentistry and want to introduce implant dentistry into their practice

For practitioners who have a basic knowledge of implant dentistry and want to treat straightforward cases

Course Topics

- Treatment planning with R2Gate, Risk assessment, Pre-implant prosthodontics, Bone density, and Biomechanical Stress.

- Occlusal considerations = Implant Protected.

- Cement or Screw retention

- Impressions (Analog) = closed tray vs open tray

- Loading and occlusal materials

- Laboratory Communication & Photography

- Provisionals.

- Final Prostheses = indirect fabrication for prosthetic design and abutment selection.

- Prostheses insertion and maintenance.

- Common complications of implant prostheses – aetiology, prevention and management.

Course Objectives

- Treatment plan the single tooth (ST) and partially edentulous patients (PE) for implant restorations.

- Utilise R2 Gate for 3D radiographic interpretation techniques for ST and PE patients.

- The importance of bone density and how Digital Eye benefits your treatment planning.

- Understand the influence of the occlusion on the integrity of the implant bone interface and the implant prostheses.

- Recognise the local factors which will influence implant prosthetics.

- Develop a framework for defining a prosthesis.

- Determine whether the prostheses will be screw retained or cemented.

- Become familiar with the componentry required for implant prosthodontics in the restoration of MegaGen Implants.

- Undertake step by step procedures for implant restorations on laboratory models.

- Appreciate that prostheses fabrication can combine direct and indirect techniques for provisionals and finals.

- Become aware of the soft tissue drape – the importance of the biologic width, and the relevance of pink tissue in the aesthetic zone.

- The necessary emergence profile with “S” shape to develop proper crown contour.

Hands on exercises = model based

1. Use of restorative drivers both hand and machine.

2. Requisite for ISQ

3. Impression techniques - analog, open tray, closed tray, splinting.

4. Fabrication of direct provisionals.

5. Fabrication of custom healing abutments.

6. Ideal torque control and screw preload

7. Cementation techniques = copy and open abutment.
